Wonder Wells is an organization that partners with The Water Project, an international organization, to help build clean water wells in Kenya. We help teams of high school students identify a village in Kenya that does not have a nearby clean water source, and then raise the funds necessary to get a clean water well built. Changing the life of the entire community, especially the women and girls.

Empowering
Wonder Wells helps high school students provide a clean water well for villages in Kenya. Many villages are located far from a clean water source and traditionally it is the women and girls' responsibility to get the water, often a 2-4 hour walk each way to a water source. Because they spend most of the day getting water, girls in these villages cannot go to school and the women cannot pursue jobs or further education. Also, these journeys getting water are often dangerous to these women and girls due to threats from animals and even other people.

Make a Difference
Wonder Wells makes it easy for high school students to identify a village that does not have a nearby clean water source and set up the tools necessary to fundraise and get a clean water well built within one year. Time spent on this can often count towards high school community service hours, and the students can see the actual well being built and see photos and videos of the people whose lives are significantly changed by having a nearby clean water source.
